Havaianas ‘Design Your Own’ Competition

26th October 2009: Calling all artists! If you are aged between 7-15 years old, are PASSIONATE about animals and feel creative – then this one’s for you!
Havaianas are giving one lucky winner the chance to have their own unique design featured as a limited edition style in the 2010 Havaianas summer range, with 5 % of net sales donated to The World Society for the Protection of Animals!
This year’s theme is the Amazon, in support of the WSPA Amazon Ark Project Brazil – a floating learning centre that travels along the Amazon River educating the community about protecting wildlife!
How to enter
• Collect an entry form in store at any key Havaianas Kids retailer
Or
• Visit www.havaianas.com.au and download the entry form ‘thong’ template PDF
• Only use three colours … and work your magic!
• Fill out your details on the entry form, and describe in 25 words or less why you chose the animal in your design.
• Send the completed entry to: havaianas Design-Your-Own competition, 234 Bronte Rd, Waverley NSW 2024
The winner, as voted by you, will score a year’s supply of Havaianas, get their design on the shelves of shops all around Australia and be given the opportunity to exclusively sponsor their very own animal of the Amazon!
So why do the animals in the Amazon jungle need your help? The jungle is being burnt down to make way for farms and houses and the native wildlife is hunted for food and black market animal sales. It is now more important than ever to try and protect these animals from cruelty, and save them from extinction.
By entering the Havaianas Design-Your-Own competition, you are doing your bit to help protect some of the most rare and beautiful animals in the world – so get out those textas and start drawing!
All Entries will feature on www.havaianas.com.au for the public to vote for their favourite design. The most popular entry will be the winner and will be decided end of January.
